It provides detailed information on the configuration settings that are available or are in use on the devices, including critical parameters such as signal strength, noise, SSID, security settings in use, associated devices, cell power, device activity status, and many more.

AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer automatically identifies and physically helps locate unauthorized devices operating in the Wi-Fi environment that may pose a risk to the overall security of the network. It also performs a continuous vulnerability assessment of the network to detect subtle weaknesses that are often overlooked, such as devices sending unencrypted data, identifying mis-configured clients and a host of potentially damaging security configurations.

The PRO version of AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer additionally detects sophisticated attacks launched against the corporate wireless network, that are aimed at disrupting the wireless services. It also detects penetration attempts against the wireless infrastructure, including dictionary attacks, fake access points, WEP cracking tools, man in the middle attacks, etc.

AirMagnet users can troubleshoot common wireless network connection problems with tools such as DHCP, ping, traceroute and whois that are built into the AirMagnet application.
