WebFiltering

The Purewire^TM Web Security Service monitors outbound Web traffic for safety and compliance. It includes a powerful URL filtering mechanism consisting of two core components:

URL Database

The PurewireTM URL filtering database categorizes 100 million active Web sites across 70 categories, and is growing every second. The database is updated daily with newly categorized sites and provides a real-time feedback loop to increase accuracy.

Purewire ReputationTM

The Purewire ReputationTM engine focuses on the actual sites that users are visiting instead of being driven by Web crawlers. Since the Purewire ReputationTM engine operates in real time as part of the proxy, PurewireTM is able to dynamically classify Web sites on the fly based on the content of the page and make fast, accurate decisions about the security of those sites.
